Methods Animals We used 6-week-old male C57BL/6J mice (obtained from the Experimental Animal Center of Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology) and 6-week-old male Nrf2 knockout mice (B6.129 1-Nfe2l2 tm1Ywk /J, purchased from Jackson Laboratory, Bar Harbor, ME) for the experiments
